The M-Audio Axiom Pro 49 is an advanced 49-key USB MIDI controller designed for musicians everywhere. This advanced controller features M-Audio's HyperControl technology to automatically map the keyboard's controls to frequently used parameters in digital audio workstations such as Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, and Reason, in addition to various software instruments. Pros & Cons :this is a unique keyboard and is really useful if you do any music production of any kind on your computer.

Pros & Cons :it might have been nicer to have purchased the axiom pro 61, but there was a serious price difference for the extra octave without any other benefit.
Works flawlessly for me so far

Beware Hypercontrol Issues
...It seems the only way to contact tech support at M-Audio is via the public web forums. I did, and eventually was told that Snow Leopard isn't working with Hypercontrol, and they don't have an ETA ... read more
