i hate string squeak and the nanoweb coating is very helpful in reducing squeak on the wound strings.

they sound great, but the real key is, they retain their sustain and tone much longer than any other strings out there, including other coated strings, like the d'addario exps, which begin to sound dead in about 1/3 the time of elixirs.
