Pros & Cons :in doing some more research, we found that you can just connect your amplifier output line to your computer, download some free programs like audacity, and record and parse away with much better sound quality.

Pros & Cons :sound quality is very clear and while the platter itself is fairly lightweight the slipmat helps dampen it and i don't hear any resonance or other interference in the sound.
